Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is an American woman in business. She is the owner and president of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss hails from California, was raised in an very wealthy family. Jerry Buss, her father was a successful entrepreneur with a real estate business who later was the owner of Lakers Entertainment and Sports. After her parents divorced in 1972 She began feeling as if she was abandoned. When she was 19 years old, she took over her role as General Manager of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as their General Manager. She founded later the Los Angeles Blades, a professional, roller-hockey club. She was the president at the Great Western Forum, before becoming the Vice President of the Lakers. Buss her father passed away in 2013, as did the Lakers were passed down by her and five of her siblings by way of the trust. Each sibling had equally many votes. she assumed the duties as President of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling, a professional organization that has its the headquarters located at Los Angeles.
